(Reporter/Li He Correspondent/Yang Mingnuo Rongjiecheng) On the night of June 30, on the bank of the Lion Ocean, with the completion of the last concrete pouring, the prestressed concrete lining of the B3 project of the Pearl River Delta Water Resources Allocation Project undertaken by Guangdong Hydropower was completely poured, becoming the first bid section of the project to complete the pouring of prestressed concrete lining. This indicates that the construction of this major national water conservancy project and the important livelihood project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has once again made significant progress in stages, and is sprinting towards the goal of water supply at the end of the year.

The Pearl River Delta is known as the "Geological Museum", especially in the Lion Ocean area of the Pearl River Estuary, where the hydrological and geological conditions are extremely complex. Project B3 has a total of 5 working wells and 4 construction intervals, with a length of 11.359 kilometers. A total of about 140000 cubic meters of prestressed concrete need to be poured. The total amount of steel bars used is 14900 tons, and the length of steel strands is 350900 meters. Among them, the construction interval from working well GZ21 to working well DG22 in this bid section is the only construction interval in the Pearl River Delta water resources allocation project that penetrates nearly 60 meters deep under the sea floor of the Lion Ocean. It crosses many Lion Ocean fault zones along the line, facing multiple challenges such as large line burial depth and strong surrounding rock permeability. The construction difficulty is very rare in the domestic and even the world water conservancy industry. The successful completion of the concrete pouring of the tunnel lining in this section is the third time that the project has successfully crossed the Lion Ocean after the shield tunneling and lining construction preparation process, which is of great significance to the construction of the project.
